PHITSANULOK: A girl has been arrested for allegedly transferring a complete of 15.7 million baht from a person’s bank account to her personal account with a mobile cellphone she had stolen from him, police mentioned at a press convention on Sunday.

Pol Lt Gen Akradej Pimolsri, the Provincial Police Area 6 commissioner, recognized the girl as Satang Thongramphan, 46, from Phitsanulok province. The person was not recognized.

Ms Satang’s arrest adopted a grievance filed with police by Patiwat Thaisom, 31. He accused Ms Satang of stealing a mobile cellphone belonging to his father, a 56-year-old former bank worker who died on Aug 9. With entry to data within the mobile cellphone, she transferred a complete of 15.7 million from his father’s bank account to her personal account, utilizing his password on the bank software.

She withdrew 3 million baht from her bank account on Aug 21 and one other 12,732,654 baht on Aug 24 – 15,732,654 baht in whole.

She used a few of the cash to purchase the gold bullion and hid the remainder of the cash within the rear of a automotive, police mentioned. The cash had been seized by officers after the search.

Ms Satang mentioned she stored 1 million baht to rent a lawyer in case she had a authorized drawback.
