Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite smartphones as the first members of its new Redmi Y-series, with the target audience as the youth of India. The biggest highlight of the Redmi Y1 is its 16-megapixel front camera, complete with a LED selfie light.

Redmi Y1 has a led flash on the front and 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The other specifications are 5.5-inch HD display, Corning Gorilla glass on top, a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, a rear fingerprint sensor. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, and 32/64GB storage, which is expandable.
