However, for unknown reasons, many users have been encountering an issue where their Copilot chat history doesn’t show up, or it doesn’t seem to be working properly.

The question was addressed to Mikhail Parakhin, one of Microsoft’s lead engineers on the Copilot project, to which he responded that every user can access the chats on Copilot as old as 90 days, and there are plans to expand the time period.

So users should expect to access older chats on Copilot starting sometime over the next months of 2024. As for the technical issues regarding the access to existing chats within the 90-day time limit, the Microsoft executive forwarded the issue to the Copilot team, and a solution should be released in the next few days or weeks.

The new Copilot key will be present on the new Windows laptops and Windows-oriented keyboards, and when pressed, it will open the AI tool on the Windows device.
