The stream will be broadcast live from the YouTube Theater in Hollywood Park, with public tickets on sale via Ticketmaster starting May 7 at 9am PT. The official release also teased “other livestreams and events,” with additional announcements in the coming months. SGF will also hold an invite-only event for media and influencers from June 8 to June 10.

Summer Game Fest returns to Los Angeles on June 7.
Summer Game Fest returns to Los Angeles on June 7.

This is the fifth year of SGF, which has gradually replaced E3 in the midst of that show’s various difficulties and eventual cancellation. Last year’s SGF announcements included updates on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Spider-Man 2, and Baldur’s Gate 3, as well as the reveal of Prince of Persia. This June is expected to once again be a busy one for games, with Microsoft having already announced its traditional summer showcase. Nintendo, Sony, Ubisoft, and Capcom are also among the major publishers that typically hold streams around this time.

In addition to Summer Game Fest, June will also see the debut of IGN Live, a three-day in-person fan event taking place in Los Angeles with dates to be announced soon. It is one component of our annual Summer of Gaming event, which been held in digital formats since 2020. IGN Live will include world-class talent, parties, and exhibitors showing off the latest games and entertainment, with a portion of ticket sales will go to charity via Humble Bundle.

As for SGF, you’ll be able to watch the livestream on all of our channels, including the IGN homepage, YouTube, and Twitch. After the show we’ll break down all of the announcements in our SGF post show and more. Look for more details on both IGN Live and Summer Game Fest as we get closer to June.
